About Us

About the Clinic

The Mapleton Health Centre is a family medicine clinic located in Drayton, Ontario. We've worked hard to create a welcoming space, staffed by dedicated physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and administrative professionals who share a commitment to accessible, compassionate, and timely care.

As part of both the Minto-Mapleton Family Health Organization (FHO) and the Minto-Mapleton Family Health Team (FHT), we're able to provide comprehensive, team-based primary care to our community. This collaboration allows our patients to benefit not only from their own primary care provider, but also from a wide range of health professionals and programs offered through the Family Health Team - including chronic disease management, mental health services, and health promotion initiatives. For more information about the programs and services offered through the Family Health Team, please visit their website.

Primary care is often a person's first point of contact with the health system, and we take that role seriously. Our team provides ongoing care for approximately 9,000 patients, supporting individuals and families at every stage of life.

At Mapleton Health Centre, we believe that great care starts with great relationships - with our patients, our team, and our community.

Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion

Mapleton Health Centre is committed to treating all employees, interns, and clients with respect and inclusivity.

Commitment to Patients

Mapleton Health Centre respect all communities and does not discriminate based on race, age, gender, religion, height, weight, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, place of origin, socio-economic status, political beliefs, other ideologies, or marital status. Whenever possible, patients will have communication in their own language and culture via access to practitioners, extended family members, and/or research made by their healthcare provider. When Mapleton Health Centre is not able to accommodate client based on their needs (whether cultural, accessibility, etc.) to the best of our ability, a commitment will be made to refer the patient to another service that better suits their needs.

We will attempt to provide resources and material that are reflective of ethnic, cultural, and spiritual traditions of the persons serviced.

Commitment to Employees

We are an equal opportunity employer. The organization makes every effort to employ diverse individuals that reflect the community and population served. Hiring and human resource practices do not discriminate with regard to race, colour, religion, disability, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, age, national origin, or any other area specified under the Ontario Human Rights Code. Materials procured by MHC will use inclusive language and be gender neutral.

Monitoring

MHC will have zero tolerance for any forms of racism, hate, bigotry, and discrimination by or from all staff and patients. We are committed to creating a protected space for all patients and staff. To report an incident or concern, please email admin@mapletonhc.ca
